aprendepython.es is a manual for learning the Python programming language. It includes numerous exercises through the tool pypas (also developed by me).

It is designed to cover different levels and has a highly practical approach. It is only available in Spanish.

This is the most extensive documentation I’ve ever created. Many years of work made available to the community to help Python reach wherever it is needed.

SendHerePlz 🛍️

SendHerePlz is a browser extension that identifies which products can or cannot be shipped to a specific geographic region directly from Amazon’s search results page.

HaploSearch 🧬

HaploSearch is software that enables the identification of haplotypes in DNA sequences. It is a collaborative project with Dr. Rosa Fregel.

Together, we published the article HaploSearch: A tool for haplotype-sequence two-way transformation in the scientific journal Mitochondrion.

EduCanNews 🇮🇨

EduCanNews is a Telegram bot that analyzes updates from the Canary Islands Department of Education and sends notifications to this Telegram channel.

The channel currently has over 7,000 subscribers. It is also complemented by two additional tools:

  • EduCanOferta: Notifies about exceptional appointment offers from the Canary Islands Department of Education.
  • EduCanNombra: Notifies about the daily appointments from the Canary Islands Department of Education.

Peqes 🔗

peq.es is a URL shortener. Tired of all the restrictions/ads in existing shorteners, I created this tool to address that need.

CIFutils ⚛️

CIFutils is a tool that extracts parameters from CIF (Crystallographic Information File) files. These are plain text files used to represent crystallographic information.

Python Canarias 👨‍💻

I am co-founder of Python Canarias and served as the association’s secretary from its foundation (2018) until 2024.

Python Canarias is a non-profit organization aimed at promoting the use of the Python programming language throughout the Canary Islands.

The most significant event organized by the association —and the one I was most involved in— was PyConES 2023, the Spanish National Python Conference, held in October 2023 in Tenerife.
